Built by an engineer, for engineers.

TOE Academy exists because the jump from "I can run SACS" to "I can own this analysis" is the hardest career transition in offshore structural engineering — and almost no one teaches it properly.

Why TOE Academy exists

I've spent most of my career at the keyboard of SACS — running analyses, reviewing them, building models that end up as steel in the North Sea, the Arabian Gulf, and offshore India. Along the way I noticed something.

There's a huge gap between engineers who can use SACS and engineers who can own an analysis. The software is well-taught. The engineering behind it isn't.

Vendor training shows you where to click. University courses teach theory. Neither answers the question that actually decides your career: "When I'm in front of a senior reviewer, can I defend every decision I've made in this model?"

The Masterclass approach

TOE Academy is the course I wish existed when I was four years in. Every module is built around three questions: What does the code require? What does SACS do about it? And — most importantly — why are we doing it this way instead of some other way?

That "why" is what separates a junior analyst from a senior engineer. It's also the thing that's almost impossible to learn from documentation or Google. You learn it from someone who has already made the mistakes, sat through the reviewer comments, and figured out what actually matters.

Who I am

I'm a practising engineer first, a teacher second. My live project work keeps my skills current — the content you learn isn't from a textbook I read once, it's from models I'm still building for real offshore assets. My PhD research at IIT Madras (Ocean Engineering) keeps me honest about the academic side. And TOE Academy — built by a network of IIT and NIT-trained engineers — is where we pass both on to the next layer of offshore engineers.

If you're an offshore engineer trying to move from competent executor to credible owner of analyses — the Masterclass is built for you. I'd be glad to have you in the next batch.

Founder's Note

"I'll never enrol an engineer who isn't ready, and I'll never hold back an engineer who is. The Masterclass is a commitment — mine to teach honestly, and yours to do the work."

— Arjun

What We Stand For

Three principles that shape every session.

Engineering over software

You can learn SACS from YouTube. What you can't learn from YouTube is why a senior engineer chose that analysis approach over another. That's what we teach.

Real projects, not toy problems

Every example comes from an actual offshore platform — jackets, topsides, accidental loading scenarios. No artificial exercises that don't reflect what you'll do at work.

Small cohorts, real access

We cap batch sizes so every question gets answered. You're not one of 200 names on a Zoom grid. You get direct feedback on your actual work.

Let's get you to the next level.

If the Masterclass sounds like what you've been looking for, the next batch is enrolling.
